Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer hosted kindergarten students within the scope of World Milk Day. Chatting with the little ones about the importance of milk, Mayor Soyer said, “To date, 500 thousand children in Izmir have grown up with Süt Kuzusu. “Currently, we deliver milk to 110 thousand children daily,” he said.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer hosted kindergarten students within the scope of September 28 World Milk Day. The little ones of Buca Mega Education Volunteers Kindergarten visited Mayor Tunç Soyer to thank the Süt Kuzusu Project carried out by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. During the visit attended by 32 students, the students were accompanied by Kindergarten Principal Hülya Altun and teachers.

Mayor Soyer chatted about the importance of milk and drinking milk with the little ones, who filled the meeting hall with Turkish flags and balloons. Kindergarten Principal Hülya Altun thanked Mayor Soyer on behalf of the school and parents for contributing to the development of children with the Süt Kuzusu project. After the conversation, Mayor Soyer cut a cake with the words “Let’s Drink Milk” written on it with the students.

“Milk for 110 thousand children a day”

Speaking about World Milk Day, Mayor Soyer mentioned, "We are well aware of how important milk is for our beloved children, who are the guarantee of our future. Their healthy development is our top priority. So far, 500,000 children have grown up with Süt Kuzusu in Izmir. Currently, we deliver milk to 110,000 children every day. We have also distributed 120 million liters of milk to date."
